Band Boosters

Fuel your child's musical journey with Gladewater Band Boosters!

About the Boosters

The Gladewater Band Boosters play a vital role in supporting the GHS Band and its Directors by volunteering their time and effort throughout the school year. Our mission is to ensure the success of the GHS Band by providing essential support in various capacities, including feeding students, event planning, chaperoning, fundraising, and managing concessions. With your help, we can significantly impact our students' musical journey.

Join us in volunteering for fundraisers like the July and December fireworks stands, concession stands at Thursday night football games, bread fundraisers, and more. Become a chaperone for band camp, marching contests, bus rides, trips, and other events. Take advantage of our booster meetings, held every second Monday of the month, to discuss important matters and coordinate our efforts to benefit the band program.

Your involvement is invaluable, and together, we can make a difference!

Donation & Sponsorship Opportunities

You can donate any time of the year to the GHS Band Boosters. All funds go directly to the students.

If you would like to sponsor, please have payments to the band boosters by August 1, 2024. If you would like more information, you can message us on our Facebook Page.

What do we do with Booster funds?

Your support directly benefits our students and program in numerous ways, including:

  • Cover a large portion of band camp expenses to help reduce costs for parents (booster funds cover lodging, activities, snacks, drinks, and breakfast)
  • Purchasing homecoming flowers and gifts, senior gifts, etc.
  • Senior scholarships - $500 for students who earn required hours
  • And MUCH MORE!

How do I get volunteer hours?

Students are encouraged to volunteer to earn time toward scholarship eligibility in their senior year and to qualify for discounted pricing for the biennial band trip.

To be eligible for Band Booster scholarships, students or their parents/guardians must complete at least 20 hours of volunteer work at band events (e.g., fireworks warehouse, concession stand).

Parents can volunteer on behalf of their students, but students cannot volunteer for their parents or others.
